What documents do I have to submit with my N-400 naturalization application?

At your first consultation, we will give you a complete list of the documents that you will need to include with your application. Basic documents include your permanent resident card and any state or federal identification documents. You must also include a copy of your passport and any travel documents, including documents about your marital status.

If you have a criminal record, you will need to submit certified final dispositions of each sentence. You will also need to include evidence of your military service record if applicable. If you are married to an American citizen, you must include proof of your spouse’s citizenship, marriage certificate, previous divorce certificate, if any, and proof of your continuing relationship.
